A health team from the Atoifi Adventist Hospital is currently in Oloburi, East Kwaio, Malaita Province to provide health care check-ups for the communities there.

The aim of this community outreach program is to provide general health care check-ups and health awareness to the people of Oloburi.

In an interview with Alrick Naisi, one of the staff members of Atoifi Adventist Hospital, he said the community outreach is free of charge, and people are encouraged to attend.

He said the program started on Monday, May 25, and will conclude on Friday, May 29, 2026.

He said their team provides free health check-ups and outpatient services during the day and health talks in the evening.

ā€œYes, our team will be providing health check-ups and outpatient work during the daytime, and they will give health messages to the people in the evening,ā€ he said.

He encourages the people of Oloburi communities to avail themselves to get checked as soon as possible, as it can save their lives.

Naisi said early check-ups can lead to early detection of any sickness or disease, and early treatment and referral can be made to save lives.

ā€œPeople must go to be checked because it’s free, and you’ll get to know your health status for early detection, treatment, and referrals,ā€ he said.
