The capital side lived up to its unbeaten form throughout the tournament, finishing the pool stage with five wins from five matches before carrying that momentum into the championship decider.

Honiara’s commanding victory sealed the gold medal, while Western settled for silver after an impressive run to the final.

Earlier in the day, Makira claimed the bronze medal with a convincing 57-41 win over Renbel in the third-place playoff.

The final standings reflected Honiara’s dominance from the opening day of competition. They topped the pool with the maximum 15 points, scoring an impressive 298 goals while conceding only 138 to finish with a tournament-best goal difference of +163.

Makira finished second in the preliminary standings on 11 points, edging Western on goal difference after both teams recorded three wins and two defeats. Renbel placed fourth with nine points, followed by Malaita in fifth and Central Province in sixth.

The medal standings saw Honiara take home gold, Western silver and Makira bronze, while Renbel, Malaita and Central rounded out the remaining placings.

The tournament showcased the growing standard of provincial netball, with teams displaying competitive performances throughout the week-long competition before Honiara stamped its authority in the final.

The Solomon Islands Netball Federation shared the official results on its social media platforms following the conclusion of the competition, congratulating the participating provincial teams on their efforts.

The netball competition formed part of the 2026 Solomon Games, bringing together athletes from across the country to compete in a range of sporting codes.

The Games continue to serve as an important platform to identify emerging talent and strengthen provincial competition ahead of future national and regional events.
