The council also acknowledged the efforts of athletes, coaches, officials and supporters, describing the event as a memorable celebration of sport and unity under the Games theme, “Rise Together”.
“Every medal represents countless hours of training, commitment and sacrifice. Beyond the final standings, the true victory of the Games is the talent discovered, friendships formed and the continued growth of sport across Solomon Islands,” the statement said.
The NSC added that it looks forward to building on the momentum generated by this year’s Games to further strengthen sport development across the country.
The 2026 Solomon Games brought together athletes from Honiara City Council, Makira-Ulawa, Central, Malaita, Guadalcanal, Western and Renbel to compete across several sporting codes in Honiara.
