THE Samlimsan School Hockey League has completed its week one of competition yesterday at the KGVI School Hockey ground.

The league began its 2018 season on Tuesday with the first two matches, another two on Wednesday and another two games yesterday.

During Wednesday’s match, Burns Creek drew nil-all with Koloale girls and followed by Woodford boys taking the best out of Koloale with a 1-0 win.

The competition continued yesterday with another two matches played between St. Nicholas College and Honiara High School in both the boys and the girls divisions.

St. Nicholas College girls saw seventh heaven yesterday with the 7-0 whitewash of Honiara High girls.

In the boys’ fixture, St. Nicholas boys defeated Honiara High boys with a 2-0 margin.

The school league will resume next Tuesday.

Solomon Islands Hockey Federation (SIHF) Development Officer Allen Temoa was pleased with the turn out of the matches this week.

“This week was perfect. We saw some competitive games in the opening days.

“We look forward to some more actions expected to be displayed in next week’s round of matches,” Temoa said.
